Job Overview The

Procurement Team Manager

is the day‑to‑day operations leader of the procurement team and primarily manages the Direct Spend category portfolio of products and suppliers. The manager ensures a continuous supply of over 33,000 SKUs divided into 8 direct‑spend product families, supported by approximately 30 key strategic suppliers, and leads a team of procurement agents to achieve core KPIs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day procurement workflow to secure continuous supply of 33,000 active SKUs, including PO reviews, blanket purchase orders, replenishment timelines, and efficient P2P process.

Maintain operational structure to meet KPIs such as stock levels, pricing control, cost reductions, vendor management, and quality.

Assign workloads to direct reports to meet department and individual goals while providing development opportunities.

Manage strategic and tactical vendor relationships (pricing, quality, supply sustainability).

Travel periodically to vendor/supplier production facilities for capacity assessment and process improvement.

Coordinate cross‑functional actions with Corporate Finance, AP, HR, legal/contracts, IT, Engineering, Marketing, and Product Development.

Prepare and present weekly KPI briefings to the Procurement Department Senior Manager.

Plan and allocate team resources in collaboration with the Senior Manager to optimize structure and improve departmental KPIs.

Support the Senior Manager on strategic planning, project execution, and global sourcing strategy for international locations.

Assist in indirect procurement projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of approximately 3–4 managers, supervisors, or senior individual contributors.

Education and Experience Required

Post‑secondary degree or equivalent certification in supply chain, logistics, or business.

7+ years of relevant escalating career experience in supply chain, logistics, or business.

4+ years in a similar role, preferably in industrial engineering and manufacturing.

Mastery of procurement, inventory management, and demand planning best practices.

Experience building new stakeholder relationships and acting as a cross‑functional POC.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to multitask in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

Proficiency in logistics methods and import/customs procedures.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Experience with SAP and other ERP systems is an asset.

Experience with project management, MRP, and analytics systems preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Standard administrative office position; no lifting or standing requirements. Occasional visits to warehouse areas may require temperature and noise variation. Travel approximately 5–10% of the time.
