Overview
Data Architecture & Engineering Manager – Financial Services – Consulting. You will work in one of three U.S. locations: New York, Charlotte, or Dallas. Key Responsibilities
Lead diverse, cross‑geography teams to deliver data and analytics services to financial institution clients.
Design and build data platforms, warehouses, and streaming solutions to support client business goals.
Advise clients on technical and business strategies, presenting findings to senior stakeholders across EY and client organizations.
Own end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget execution under tight deadlines.
Drive thought leadership through white papers, case studies, and proof‑of‑concept demonstrations.

Qualifications
Undergraduate or master’s degree in a quantitative field (engineering, computer science, business, economics, finance, statistics, analytics).
At least 6 years of experience in banking, capital markets, insurance, or asset management.
Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver quality results under extreme time constraints.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with client‑facing activities: requirements gathering, facilitation, presentation creation, and delivering client‑ready deliverables.
Prior project management and client‑serving roles.
Exceptional leadership and teamwork capabilities.
Organized, time‑management oriented, and able to adapt to change with curiosity.
Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time and possession of a valid passport.
DAE Specific Experience
Capable of turning business challenges into data architecture and engineering solutions.
Practical experience with strategic data architecture, cloud data modernization, big data initiatives, and event‑driven architecture in financial services.
Architect and design large data platforms, data warehouses, streaming apps, ingestion, integration, and distribution pipelines.
Hands‑on expertise with leading data ingestion, transformation, storage, mining, and analytics technologies.
Deep knowledge of traditional data architecture (MDM, ODS, data warehousing) and next‑gen platforms (Hadoop, cloud, distributed ledgers).
Proficiency across data technologies: Cloud Data Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake), Big Data (Hadoop ecosystem), RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), MPP (Redshift, Teradata, Netezza), NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Neo4j, Elastic Search), Streaming (Spark, Kafka, Storm), DevOps (GitHub, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform), and Data Modeling (Data Vault, Star, Snowflake).
Desired Additional Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Science (MS).
Prior consulting experience.
