This is an entry-level position and can provide opportunities for growth in the engineering or facilities management field. You will work as part of an IFM team at a 1.8 million square foot campus with 6 high-rise office buildings managed by JLL. Location: Redwood City, CA 94065. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Reporting To: Assistant Facility Manager. Additional Perks: company provided uniforms, cell phone, laptop, and reimbursement for new shoes and no on-call requirements. Estimated compensation for this position is: $25.63-$37.16 hourly paid bi-weekly. The compensation range listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.

What this job involves

The Maintenance Technician

supports other JLL Facilities team members on-site in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, lighting, plumbing, doors, etc.

Day-to-day responsibilities

Assist the engineering team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment Perform general building maintenance including interior and exterior carpentry, drywall, light electrical, light plumbing and painting Complete assigned work orders in CMMS and maintains appropriate service documentation Maintain tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe conditions Work closely under the direction of Operating Engineers, Chief Engineers and others Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

Required Skills and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent 1+ years of General Building Maintenance including property interior and exterior work experience in a commercial setting, or no experience with additional specialized training and/or certification Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive Strong customer service skills

Preferred experience and technical skills

Trade school, union training, military service or college is desirable Basic computer skills, including MS Office suite and understanding certain software, how to type and answer emails Bilingual Spanish preferred

Compensation

Estimated compensation for this position:

$25.63-$37.16 hourly paid bi-weekly. The compensation range listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data. Estimated compensation (annual) : 53,300.00 - 77,300.00 USD per year. This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
