Job Details: SUMMARY: This job is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards of products produced.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate with all levels of management within the company.
Utilize information to make product and process improvements.
Ensure plant adherence to policies and procedures detailed in the company’s product specifications, compliance, HACCP, and SSOP programs.
Coordinate, train, direct, and evaluate the performance of plant QA personnel.
Manage direct reports, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Track and maintain records for trend analysis of the plant Quality Management programs.
Coordinate and manage communication with plant management and local USDA IIC on regulatory issues.
Implement recall procedures, policy writing, and auditing programs.
Standardize testing applications, review, rewrite, and keep current all laboratory policies and procedures in accordance with regulations to meet quality assurance requirements.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing or QA.
Certifications related to QA, process control, or auditing preferred.
Basic computer skills; SAP knowledge preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual a plus.
Supervisory experience with a small team performing similar tasks.
Highly recommended to include a resume in PDF or Word format.
