Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Roswell, GA.
Base pay range: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 / year.
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, maintaining vendor records, and supporting month‑end close activities. This position requires strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process high‑volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
Verify invoice accuracy, match purchase orders and receipts, and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare weekly and monthly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.
Maintain vendor files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
Respond to vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements.
Assist with month‑end closing activities, including accruals and reporting.
Collaborate with procurement, plant operations, and finance teams to resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounts payable operations.
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of three‑way matching, accruals, and basic accounting principles.
