As the Senior Specialist, Contracts Manager, you will be the go-to person for managing contracts from beginning to end across government and commercial research and development projects. You’ll have a hand in every step of the process, from helping to secure new business to ensuring the details are in place for successful delivery. Manage contracts from inception to close for both government and commercial R&D programs. Review and negotiate contract terms, track key deadlines, and ensure paperwork aligns with requirements. Collaborate with customers and internal teams to keep client relationships strong and align with program goals. Assist in proposing and negotiating contracts in prime and subcontracting environments. Provide guidance and training on federal procurement regulatory matters to Program Managers, Division staff, and other stakeholders. Negotiate terms and conditions with government and commercial customers; act as primary interface with contracting officers and procurement agents. Work in a classified environment as needed (e.g., a SCIF). Qualifications

Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required. Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred or equivalent experience. At least 8 years of experience in federal contract management, including Cost Reimbursable, Time & Materials, and Firm Fixed Price contracts. Recognized subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of contract management practices. Strong expertise in FAR and DFARS regulations; ability to guide teams through compliance during proposal development, negotiation, and contract administration. Experience negotiating terms with government entities and prime contractors across contract types. Familiarity with DCMA, DCAA, and other federal agencies. Experience managing intellectual property and data rights issues. Ability to manage multiple contracts independently; highly self-motivated. Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to work in a diverse, fast-paced team. Professional Contracting Certifications preferred.
