About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, Credit Officer for Asset-Based Lending. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the end-to-end lending process within the US Commercial Bank for assigned relationships and portfolios. This role requires a deep and relevant asset-based lending industry expertise, particularly in commercial and cross-border lending, with a focus on underwriting, portfolio, and risk management. The Credit Officer will be a critical partner in the client delivery model, working in direct partnership with Relationship Managers and Independent Risk to execute the firm's and client's business objectives. Key responsibilities include credit underwriting, due diligence, structuring, documentation, and portfolio monitoring. The role also demands extensive knowledge of credit policies, processes, and procedures, and the ability to apply these concepts consistently to ensure the portfolio is appropriately risk-rated and classified. Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in credit underwriting, portfolio, or risk management within a large multinational financial services or asset-based lending organization. The role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and a strong credit sense with the ability to articulate a view and work across a range of credit products. The Credit Officer will be expected to mentor and develop junior staff, recommend process improvements, and work proactively with internal and external stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree is required, with advanced degrees and certifications considered a plus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate learning agility, the ability to make timely and transparent decisions, and a proactive approach to managing the portfolio in a dynamic environment.
