Judicial Attorneys review and analyze arguments presented in a variety of motions and memoranda involving all areas of the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction under Article IV, Section 2(B) of the Ohio Constitution. In addition, Judicial Attorneys research and prepare initial drafts of merit opinions at the direction of the Chief Justice. Responsibilities
Judicial Attorneys review and analyze arguments presented in a variety of motions and memoranda involving all areas of the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction under Article IV, Section 2(B) of the Ohio Constitution. In addition, Judicial Attorneys research and prepare initial drafts of merit opinions at the direction of the Chief Justice. Qualifications
The successful applicant will be a licensed attorney with exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills. Elite performance in law school, participation on a law review or moot court board, or publication of a noteworthy article is preferred. Prior clerkship experience and experience in writ practice will be considered positively. The ability to work independently, collaboratively, and efficiently is required. The successful applicant will be expected to perform his or her duties on a daily basis in the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center in Columbus.
