ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Controller has ETOPS duties as defined in the ETOPS Policies and Procedures manual (EPPM). Duties shall include but are not limited to the following:
Discuss all pilot reports and non-routine items with respective line station/line mechanics as each aircraft terminates
Monitor all work progress at the line stations, assuring systematic troubleshooting and timely correction of discrepancies, providing technical assistance as required
Coordinate the movement of required parts to the aircraft
Monitor discrepancies reported on a daily basis in order to identify chronic non-routine items
Approve and record all items that are deferred or carried over
Monitor on a daily basis all work request items and scheduled maintenance in order to assure timely completion of each task
Monitor all check remaining times on a continuing basis
Make controlled work assignments in order to address items which are deferred, carried over, or which have been identified as chronic problems
Maintain daily log of all maintenance activities including all discrepancies by aircraft registration number
Evaluate the effectiveness of the Maintenance Program in all of its applications at the practical level in order to alert Director of Maintenance and Director of Quality Control of presence of program defects or deficiencies
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Must hold current Airframe and Powerplant License
Must meet all GMM training requirements
Avionics background with strong troubleshooting experience required
Must be experienced with Windows 7 and/or Windows 10 along with Microsoft office
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of High school Diploma or GED, college experience a plus
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience maintaining large transport category aircraft, preferably line maintenance on B767, or B777, under a continuous airworthiness maintenance program (CAMP) approved under FAR 121, 125, or 135
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
Sit - 90%
Stand - 5%
Walk - 5%
Lift - As required, up to 50 lbs
MENTAL CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Ability to handle numerous activities at once and complete in a timely manner
Work with limited supervision and possess an attention to detail, excellent customer service and organizational skills required
Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gathering and analyzing information skillfully
Makes day-to-day decisions used to support the operation which impacts the department's credibility
Ability to compose outlines, memoranda, and basic reports
Ability to communicate basic instructions and guidelines, requires ability to hear and speak effectively
