Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Director 2, Healthcare Technology Management

Overview This is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall management, operational performance, and fiscal health of the clinical engineering program at Moses Cone. We are seeking an accomplished HTM leader to provide strategic direction, drive process improvements, and lead a team of supervisors and technical professionals. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for career growth to a candidate who can build lasting partnerships with executive leadership, clinical staff, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic oversight and management for all aspects of the clinical engineering program.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of supervisors and technical professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

Ensure the effective maintenance, repair, and calibration of a diverse range of medical equipment.

Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service quality.

Collaborate with hospital leadership, C‑suite stakeholders, and clinical teams to align HTM strategies with organizational goals and patient care priorities.

Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards (CIHQ, DNV, JCAHO) and safety protocols.

Manage departmental budgets, capital planning, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.

Oversee hiring, training, and the professional development of staff.

Requirements Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent proven experience.

Experiences

Minimum of 5 years’ hands‑on experience in the maintenance and repair of clinical devices.

5+ years of experience managing biomedical/clinical engineering services within a large healthcare system.

Proven track record of collaborating with executive leadership and C‑suite stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and developing high‑performing teams of supervisors and technical professionals.

Strong business and financial acumen, with experience in budget management.

Other

Expert knowledge of regulatory compliance standards, including CIHQ, DNV, and the Joint Commission (JCAHO).

A solution‑oriented mindset with sharp critical thinking and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to deliver exceptional service and build lasting partnerships with customers, staff, and vendors.
