We are looking for experienced technicians to join the team and help with the current workload. The environment is all new construction work on large condo and apartment buildings installing fire alarms. This technician will be doing rough wiring, drilling holes, banging in boxes, and running wires. They will not be responsible for any troubleshooting or programming. The technician will be dealing specifically with fire alarm related equipment: horn strobes, pull stations, smokes, etc. MUST HAVE A VEHICLE. The technician will use their own vehicle to drive to the sites located in North Jersey. OSHA 10/30 not required but preferred. HAND TOOLS needed. Skills
3-5 years of experience as a fire alarm technician installing fire alarms (conventional and addressable systems) Experience working in a commercial environment doing wiring and fire alarms Proficient with wiring for fire alarm systems using 18-2, 16-2, 16-4 conductor sizes Comfortable and proficient with hand tools: drill, hammer, basic hand tools, and a multi‑meter Work is physically demanding: drilling holes, banging boxes, and running wire Schedule
Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (40 hours per week). Weekend work is not required but may be offered for overtime. Experience Level
Intermediate Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00‑$21.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
