Empire Innovation Professor, Quantum Computing
Position Title: Empire Innovation Professor, Quantum Computing
Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) invites candidates for a tenure‑track EIP position. Candidates should hold the rank of Full Professor at application time; strong Associate Professors will also be considered. The successful individual will build a world‑class research and educational program, emphasizing team research, impactful publications, significant funding, and effective teaching.
Responsibilities
Develop and lead cutting‑edge research in quantum computing theory, algorithms, networking, and applications.
Teach graduate and undergraduate courses and mentor students at all levels.
Collaborate with faculty in Physics, Mathematics, and Materials Design & Innovation departments.
Adopt inclusive teaching practices and support a diverse academic community.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related field.
Full‑Professor level research portfolio with excellence in research, teaching, service, and mentoring.
Internationally recognized scholar evidenced by peer‑reviewed publications, citations, and sustained externally funded research.
Preferred Qualifications
include additional expertise in quantum‑safe cryptography, quantum networking, and experience leading large research teams.
