Join us as a PreK Teacher at Prospect Hill Academy Charter School, a highly successful urban PK‑12 public school located in Somerville and Cambridge. We enroll over 900 students, 87% BIPOC, 27% ELL, and 16% qualifying for special education. Our mission is to prepare all students for college, foster responsible citizenship, and inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Responsibilities
Teach in 2‑person teams, creating an innovative, nurturing play‑based learning environment that celebrates students’ strengths and interests.
Design and implement lessons that are age‑appropriate, culturally responsive, and aligned to state standards.
Document student progress, conduct observations, and reflect on instruction to inform future practice.
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff, participating in professional learning communities and instructional coaching.
Adapt instruction for students with IEPs, 504 plans, and English language learners.
Maintain accurate records, communicate regularly with parents, and uphold school policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in early education, child development, or a related field (Master’s preferred); EEC certification or eligibility is an asset.
Minimum of 3 years of early‑childhood teaching experience, preferably in a Pre‑K setting.
Demonstrated commitment to anti‑bias, anti‑racist teaching practices and inclusive classroom environments.
Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team‑based model and independently as needed.
Ongoing engagement in professional development, including inquiry‑based approaches, documentation, and reflective practice.
Understanding of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and dedication to the school’s educational mission.
