Job Description - CT Technologist (25036814) Job Title: CT Technologist Job Number: 25036814 Shift: Mid Shift Days The role is based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 265-bed community hospital serving East Orlando since 1941. The facility recently expanded to 265 beds with a new patient tower and private rooms to enhance holistic care. Responsibilities
Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs imaging for neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, adhering to age-specific guidelines and facility parameters. Responsibilities include conducting examinations according to established protocols, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and maintaining the hospital computer system with progress notes for these exams. The technologist must perform a variety of technical scanning procedures requiring independent judgment and the application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. The role includes assisting physicians in procedures, maintaining records of examinations, and, where appropriate and licensed, functioning as a Radiology Technologist or assisting in the Radiology Department. The CT Technologist provides quality patient care, produces high-quality images and exams with sensitivity to patient needs, and adheres to safe radiation practices. Leadership responsibilities include acting as a clinical resource and taking on related tasks as needed. The position emphasizes outstanding customer service, respectful relationships, and compliance with local, state, federal regulations and accrediting bodies. Florida CRT may be required depending on location; licensure details per state are listed in the original job description.
