Richmond, VA , to find an exceptional
Sales and Events Manager . This elegantly appointed property features a full-service restaurant, sophisticated Grab & Go café, refined in-room dining, and a comprehensive banquet/catering program. Situated in a prime location adjacent to upscale shopping destinations, we seek a visionary leader to architect and elevate their distinctive event and catering program. Join us in crafting unforgettable experiences that honor this landmark venue's rich heritage while defining its future legacy.
Compensation $60,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience) + Performance bonus, comprehensive healthcare 100% covered, and a great PTO plan.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in event planning, coordination, and sales
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously from concept to completion
Ability to negotiate with and coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as events require
Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive event plans including timelines, venues, and required resources
Create and execute event concepts that align with organizational goals and client objectives
Establish themes, activities, and event formats that engage target audiences
Develop and manage event budgets
Track expenses and reconcile accounts post-event
Manage contracts and ensure all parties fulfill obligations
