About the Role

The Company is seeking a Director & Senior Counsel to lead legal support for its marketing, trust & safety, and user research teams, as well as oversee regulatory compliance efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal aspects of marketing and communications campaigns, providing counsel on advertising laws, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role also involves serving as a legal lead for the trust & safety team, offering legal counsel for customer care and education, and supporting the user research team in program design and implementation. The Director & Senior Counsel will be expected to partner with various internal teams to align efforts with the company's values and will be involved in the evolution and implementation of user-facing legal policies.

Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' of legal experience, with a preference for those with both top law firm and in-house legal department experience. A law degree from a top accredited law school and admission (or in-house eligibility) to practice law in New York is required. The ideal candidate will have a background in counseling technology company stakeholders on a range of legal issues, including intellectual property, information security, privacy, and AI regulations. Excellent business communication, analytical skills, and a strong sense of ownership are essential. The role demands a strategic thinker who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with using AI tools to enhance efficiency. The candidate should be a collaborative team player, proactive in supporting and mentoring colleagues, and have a professional ease in working with cross-functional teams.
