About the Role The Company is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to serve as the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Director of KSRE. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the College's missions in teaching, research, engagement, and extension, and must have a strong record of academic achievement and leadership. This role requires a strategic and results-focused individual with a proven history of successful growth initiatives, strong partnership and collaboration skills, and a commitment to the land-grant mission. The Dean/Director will lead all academic programs, promote high-quality educational experiences, and be actively involved in the recruitment and retention of learners, faculty, and staff. They will also be tasked with leading fundraising efforts, strengthening community and industry relationships, and driving the College's strategic plan in alignment with the University's vision.
Candidates for this position at The Company should hold an earned doctorate in a relevant field and have a distinguished academic background that warrants a tenured, full professor appointment. Essential qualifications include a demonstrated ability to lead and manage in a higher education setting, a successful track record in fund development, and a commitment to educational access and opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to build and sustain partnerships, a firm grasp of the land-grant university system, and a history of fostering a positive and inclusive working environment. Preferred qualifications include experience in interdisciplinary and international program development, a history of leading transformational change, and a commitment to shared governance.
