About the Role
The Company is seeking a Dean for Nursing Education to join their academic/practice partnership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of instructional and management duties at the specified Workforce Development site. This includes providing site supervision of nursing program activities, assisting with the implementation of special projects, and ensuring program compliance with regulatory standards. The Dean will also be involved in faculty and staff management, clinical site liaison, curriculum implementation, and serving as a student advocate. Additionally, the role involves maintaining program policies and procedures, overseeing the maintenance of necessary supplies and equipment, and preparing various reports and materials for state and Board requirements.
Applicants for the Dean position must have a current, valid, and clear California Registered Nursing License or an equivalent license from the state in which the Workforce Development site is located. A master's or higher degree in nursing, education, or administration is required, with a terminal degree in a related field being preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of teaching experience in nursing programs, at least one year of continuous experience as a registered nurse in direct patient care, and a proven track record in academic program leadership, budget management, and strategic planning. Strong communication skills, a commitment to diversity, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders are essential. The role also demands a leadership style that emphasizes collaboration, teamwork, and facilitation, as well as proficiency in technology and experience in supervising and planning for program maintenance.
