The Occupational Therapist I (Entry/Competent) provides services within Va Licensure, TJC and CMS guidelines for patient care and billing for services.
- Collaboration with Occupational therapy team, Physical Therapists, SLPs, Providers, Nursing and Case managers to promote interdisciplinary plans of care for Centra hospital patients.
- Completion of evaluations per Provider order and develops OT plan of care.
- Completion of supervisory visits for COTAs following Va licensure guidelines.
- Completes documentation that is within Va Licensure, TJC and CMS guidelines.
- Follows Centra Values - Completion of mandatory yearly education for employment and to maintain Va licensure.
- Clinically oversees the work of a rehab aide/assistant when they are assisting OT with patient care.
Other Functions: - Preceptor to new employees on volunteer basis.
- Clinical instructor to OT/COTA students on volunteer basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Minimum: Graduate of an accredited OT program.
Education Preferred: None Work Experience Minimum: None Work Experience Preferred: Clinical experience in hospital- based setting.
Licenses & Certifications Minimum: Current VA OT licensure or license eligible.
