About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to lead and oversee all financial activities, including accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, FP&A, budget optimization, and investor relations. The successful candidate will be a key leader in establishing creative and agile financial practices, supporting the company's growth, and informing financial aspects of the business strategy. This role is pivotal in the development of the company's financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and cost management, and requires a strategic and tactical approach to financial decision-making. The VP of Finance will also be responsible for expanding and standardizing financial processes, contributing to the company's strategic goals, and providing analytical support to the leadership team.

Candidates for the VP of Finance position at the company should have a minimum of 4 years' experience in investment banking, private equity, or VC, and at least 5 years in finance at a fast-growing tech startup, preferably in a marketplace environment. Strong technical accounting and reporting skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail. The role demands a leader with excellent judgment, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts. The ideal candidate will be highly strategic, tactical, and have a high sense of urgency and execution speed. A key cultural fit for the company is being a good person, as they value a work environment where employees can look forward to working with each other.
