About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for an LTAC Rehab Hospital in eastern TN. The CNO will be responsible for organizing and administering the Department of Clinical Services, ensuring the implementation of care standards, policies, and procedures. This role involves overseeing a team of approximately 70 FTEs and 30 PRN staff, and the CNO will be tasked with maintaining timely, accurate, and complete documentation, as well as ensuring all clinical regulatory requirements are met. Employee engagement, recruitment, and retention are also key responsibilities.
Candidates for the CNO position must have a BSN and be enrolled in a Master's program or have an equivalent Master's in healthcare. A minimum of 2 years' of leadership experience is required, with a preference for those with a background in med/surg, wound care, trauma, critical care, or telemetry. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and at least 3 years' of hospital nursing experience, with 3 or more years' in a managerial or supervisory role. BLS is required, and ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire. The CNO will report to the CEO and Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations.
