About the Role

The Company is seeking an Interim Department Chair for its Psychology Department. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in psychology, holding a doctoral degree in the field. Responsibilities for this 12-month position include providing innovative and strategic leadership, overseeing departmental operations, and fostering a culture of academic and research excellence. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative or management role within an academic institution, a minimum of 3 years of collegiate-level teaching experience, and a strong record of extramural funding. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scholarly and professional achievement, particularly in the areas of social work, and experience in fundraising. The role requires a leader who can work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and is committed to diversity and inclusion. The Interim Department Chair will also be expected to engage in research, publish in academic outlets, and contribute to the academic community through service on various committees.
