About the Role
The Company is in search of an inaugural Chair for the Department of Otolaryngology. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing strategic leadership and direction across the department's clinical, educational, and research missions. This pivotal role involves leading a team of otolaryngologists and support staff, with a focus on expanding the program, including faculty recruitment, and the development of clinical and research programs. The Chair will also be instrumental in the establishment of a GME training program in collaboration with a local medical center.
Applicants for the Chair position must possess an MD or DO from an accredited institution, be board-certified in Otolaryngology, and have a strong academic background with a track record of national distinction in teaching, clinical care, and research. The role requires a candidate with a service-oriented, team-based philosophy, and a successful history of faculty and staff development. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of administrative experience in an academic medical center, with a preference for those holding additional health profession degrees and a proven record of leadership in an academic department of Otolaryngology. The Chair will be expected to engage in scholarly work, and teaching, and to actively participate in the department's educational and training programs.
