About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development with a focus on build-to-suit projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for business development to support the general commercial real estate product type and sector-specific markets. This role requires a target revenue of $125-$130 million for 2025 and involves leading all sales activities and client negotiations for these projects. The VP will also be involved in jointly developing annual revenue and profit goals, identifying and pursuing build-to-suit development projects, and assisting in the marketing and sales strategy for the region. A key aspect of the role is to be a recognized leader in the local development and construction community, maintaining strong industry contacts to create opportunities for the company.
To excel in this position, candidates must have advanced knowledge and a proven ability in selling, developing, and managing various commercial and industrial facilities. A strong track record in establishing and maintaining relationships, as well as leading a profitable team, is essential. The role demands excellent financial skills, interpersonal communication, and the ability to be a cultural and customer-focused leader. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with an advanced degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' commercial development and construction experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in leading build-to-suit business development is also a key requirement.
