The Physician Recruiting Specialist plays a vital role in supporting and streamlining the recruitment and onboarding process for physician hires at PathGroup, with a focus on delivering an exceptional candidate experience. This position works closely with recruiters, physician leaders, and other internal and external partners to manage the candidate interviewing and onboarding experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment Coordination & Posting Management
  • Create, post, and manage active physician job postings and requisitions (Indeed, Pathology Outlines, and other platforms), ensuring all requisitions are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist the Physician Recruiting team with candidate sourcing and recruiting functions as needed.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to job postings, pre‑screening processes, and credential verifications for physician candidates.
  • Support recruiting and hiring managers with applicant tracking system (ATS) management

Interview & Offer Coordination

  • Schedule and coordinate physician interviews, managing communication between candidates, leaders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Occasionally coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for physician candidates during on-site interviews.
  • Create and maintain new hire folders, ensuring all required documentation is properly filed.
  • Prepare and distribute offer letters in coordination with recruiting leads and hiring leadership.
  • Request and distribute Employment Agreements, Independent Contractor Agreements, and related documentation from Legal.
  • Track candidate status after offer acceptance and ensure smooth handoff to onboarding and credentialing teams.

Projects & Collaboration

  • Partner with the Marketing team and Senior Director of Physician Recruiting on physician recruitment events, conferences, and outreach campaigns.
  • Assist with special projects and/or process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Coordinate with residency and fellowship programs to support early physician engagement and talent pipeline development.
