Bloom Energy is looking for a

Strategic Account Manager

to join its world-class data center team. This global role will support one of Bloom’s largest data center customers and will be responsible for developing go-to-market strategies, joint marketing efforts, quarterly business reviews, and leading executive interactions between both companies. This position will be the primary point of contact both internally and externally for all sales opportunities.

Experience:

10+ years of strategic account management in a quota-carrying role. International sales and management experience is required. Experienced with global account management techniques, including ensuring globally consistent contract terms. This role requires excellent communication both inside and outside the organization.

BA/BS required; MBA preferred

Roles and Responsibilities:

Oversee all early and mid-stage aspects of the Bloom Energy sales process: Opportunity Qualification, Opportunity Development, and Initial Proposals for one of Bloom’s most strategic customers.

Achieve full quota from a single global customer in the retail colocation and networking space.

Develop and lead the account strategy and support a matrixed team interacting with this customer across multiple regions.

Educate and update all regions in which this customer operates on Bloom products, services, and transactions.

Manage internal resources for sales engineering, application engineering, and structured finance to craft qualified proposals. Partner with Centers of Excellence teams as needed.

Develop and manage an opportunity funnel within the account to meet or exceed sales targets.

Map key contacts within the account and establish relationships with key influencers and decision makers.

Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction across geographies.

Solicit and communicate customer feedback from the account, acting as the “voice of the customer.”

Skills and Experience:

10+ years of large account management across geographies in the data center, high tech, and/or capital equipment sectors.

Experience selling to or operating with data center environments with established industry relationships.

Ability to develop creative solutions to objections and operate at the C-Level of multi-billion-dollar companies; build relationships with executives, especially in finance and operations.

Proven track record on multi-million dollar projects (>$10M) to exceed quotas with little direct supervision.

Highly competitive with ability to connect broadly across multiple stakeholders.

Skilled in consultative selling; willing to travel globally as required.

Experience with a formalized sales methodology is a plus.

Passionate about customers, solutions, and teamwork; adaptable as Bloom grows.
