Estimating Professional (Data Centers) role at Jacobs. Responsibilities
Lead and act as technical expert in estimating, primarily emphasizing Data Centers. Develop and execute the strategy and plan for estimating activities that support the overall proposal strategy for project requirements. Foster working relationships with project team members to coordinate deliverables to estimating and provide guidance on project deliverables. Review and contribute to the interpretation of the request for proposal or project contract and help identify risk areas and participate in mitigation planning. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced design and estimating personnel. Support Jacobs Global Integrated Delivery teams by maximizing design, digital technology, and support capabilities across projects, including data centers and related markets. Qualifications
Minimum of ten years progressive experience with increasing responsibility in an estimating role for industrial project execution or a project management role executing industrial projects in the field. Estimating and Construction experience in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines in Data Centers. Experience with Cost-OS, Sage Estimating (Timberline) or similar estimating software platforms. Demonstrated understanding of estimating organizational structure and process, including quantity takeoff, crew development, productivity relationships, material quotations, contingency/risk, knowledge of markup structures and estimate documentation. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management or related technical field. Professional experience in EV/Batteries or Specialty Chemicals; proficiency in quantitative risk analysis using software including @Risk and Monte Carlo; experience with Aspen CCE or other parametric tools; active membership in AACE, PMI, or similar association. The base pay range for this position is $102,900.00 to $135,075.00 per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Eligible employees may enroll in a deferred compensation plan or the Executive Deferral Plan.
