Director Marketing, Strategic Customer and Communications Base pay range: $162,500.00/yr - $292,400.00/yr Location: USA CA - San Diego; USA IL - Vernon Hills Employment type: Full-time Primary work location: USA CA - San Diego (IDS); USA IL - Vernon Hills Senior/Executive level role focused on strategic marketing for national and strategic accounts within MMS, coordinating communications across channels and driving funnel growth and lead acceleration. The Director will lead growth strategies for MMS National and Strategic accounts, coordinate differentiated communications across channels, and ensure alignment of messaging with portfolio opportunities and strategic imperatives. The Director will lead and develop a team including digital, tradeshows, and communications, and will drive enterprise-level marketing growth programs targeted at Strategic and National Accounts, including messaging and tools to retain at-risk customers and convert competitive targets. Responsibilities MMS Mega Message incorporation and selective value propositions for headroom opportunities; use heatmaps to guide priority programs.
Partner with sales to ensure customer priority needs are addressed and messaging resonates to drive desired behaviors.
Coordinate with strategic pricing to align messaging with total cost of ownership and acquisition model elements.
Incorporate select product roadmaps across MMS for key customer opportunities; extend connections beyond MMS and within Connected Care Vision.
Collaborate with Medical/Clinical to incorporate key clinical evidence and differentiators for credible messaging.
Drive targeted account-based marketing to generate new leads and accelerate opportunities through the sales process.
Coordinate with US region marketing and SCG for alignment on strategic targets.
Identify messaging and resources for clinical teams to align with strategic imperatives and close commercial gaps.
Lead all MMS communications strategy including omni-channel campaigns to build funnel, accelerate leads, and raise portfolio awareness.
Lead development of omnichannel campaigns across PR, tradeshows, and digital channels.
Design program strategy to deliver the right messaging to the right audience at all stages of the buying process.
Develop solution communications strategy and topics; plan campaigns and channel mix.
Oversee technology stack for communication plan deployment and lead-gen integration; own website content.
Own KPIs and metrics; diagnose underperformance and pivot strategies as needed.
Lead weekly Promotional Review Committee with Medical, Legal, Regulatory and Marketing leaders; manage agenda and decisions; ensure BD standards alignment.
Create internal messaging for MMS LT, VP of Marketing and Sales.
Build lead generation capability in region; coordinate with BDX U.S. Region and Pharmacy Automation reps.
Drive proactive engagement strategies including SEO and social influencers.
Advise on optimal communications strategies and agency partnerships, briefs, and KPI alignment.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketing communications managers, content strategists, tradeshow, demo, and digital staff.
Support cross-MMS strategy planning and communications (Annual Strategy Reviews, Marketing Plans, QBRs, etc.).
Support websites, content, and messaging integration and optimization.
Manage Marketing Discretionary Spend and ensure ROI-aligned prioritization.
Qualifications & Measuring Success Experience leading enterprise-level marketing programs for strategic and national accounts.
Ability to create MMS-level messaging and tools to retain at-risk customers and win against competitors.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with sales, medical, clinical, pricing, and regulatory teams.
Proven track record of delivering measurable marketing outcomes; ability to define KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
Experience managing a team across digital, events, and communications disciplines.
