Overview
The Senior Accountant, Restaurants and Marlin Bars is responsible for a wide variety of accounting functions, including month end close, budgeting and forecasting support, process improvement, and related activities to ensure timely and accurate financial data in compliance with GAAP and company policies. Responsibilities
Perform month-end, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, and ad hoc analysis and reporting as required. Run preliminary division month-end financial statements and review actual vs. budget/reforecast variances with the assistant controller; research variances and collaborate with the business operations team, FP&A, Oxford team, or ledger analysis as needed. Maintain Fintech inbox daily, including general ledger coding revisions, master vendor file updates, and new vendor setups with Fintech and Accounts Payable. Prepare COGS month-to-date and year-to-date reporting at major group and summary levels. Prepare discount month-to-date and year-to-date reporting by discount type and location. Prepare Restaurant and Marlin Bar bonus accruals and final calculations for Payroll. Prepare Restaurant commissions reports for Payroll. Prepare month-end reclass and accrual journal entries. Design and develop queries of financial data using pivot tables, v-lookups, macros and other advanced Excel functions. Support the annual operating budget and reforecast process; support year-end audit as needed. Assist the assistant controller with implementation of new projects and perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business. Generally, 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a restaurant business environment. Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley. Strong computer skills, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SAP preferred, R365, Fintech, Ottimate and Simphony. Skilled at developing detailed documentation and communicating financial information clearly. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment or independently to meet daily expectations. Strong critical thinking, problem identification, and data analysis abilities. Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to recognize problems/trends, gather data, draw conclusions, and present complex information effectively. Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities to meet aggressive deadlines; maintain sensitive and confidential information. Good project management skills and initiative from inception to completion, working with cross-functional leaders to achieve successful outcomes. Strong work ethic and integrity. Benefits

$85,000 - $100,000 per year. Multiple factors may affect the applicable rate of pay including experience, knowledge, and location.
