(dba Malama I Ke Ola Health Center) in Wailuku, Maui. This is a full-time, exempt position focused on adult medicine in a primary care setting, with emphasis on prevention, chronic disease management, and whole-person care. The
FNP/APRN/MD/DO
provider is a vital member of the clinical team, delivering patient care in accordance with nationally accepted guidelines, clinic policies, and procedures to achieve the health center’s goals.
Responsibilities
Performs physical assessments of patients with acute and chronic diseases; develops a treatment plan and follows up with written protocols.
Educates and guides patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits.
Performs screening history and physical examinations for patients, including those who are homeless and aging.
Performs diagnostic tests and screening evaluations.
Provides or arranges the provision of pharmaceuticals based on written protocols or direct physician order.
Provides referrals to appropriate sources for specialized or chronic medical care.
Investigates and intervenes in potential and actual patient care situations.
Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members regarding care.
Documents nursing/medical care according to guidelines and maintains patient medical records (EMR).
Participates in Quality Improvement, in-service trainings, meetings, committees, and research activities as required.
Performs fiscal duties, submits reports for funding/grants, and assists with procedures and administrative duties to support primary care in coordination with integrated health services.
Maintains current CPR, TB status (negative within past 12 months), and Hawaii licensure/registration as APRN/NP/MD/DO.
Qualifications
APRN/FNP/DNP/MD/DO from a recognized program, with continuing education and experience providing services to a diverse patient population.
At least one year of provider experience and a verifiable work background showing respectful and aloha-filled patient care.
Current licensure/registration as APRN/NP/MD/DO in the State of Hawaii.
Compensation & Benefits The salary range for APRN/FNP is
$128,750 to $160,000
per year, plus a
$10,000
sign-on bonus and eligibility for a fiscal year incentive bonus up to
$10,000 . The salary range for MD/DO is
$220,000 to $240,000
per year, plus a
$15,000
sign-on bonus and eligibility for a fiscal year incentive bonus up to
$25,000 . Benefits include generous paid time off, and a great work environment. This is a full-time, exempt position with after-hours call duty, a rotating half-day Saturday shift every 6 to 7 weeks, and one late shift per week (10:00 AM – 7:00 PM). Shifts are 8 hours with an average of seeing at least 16 patients per shift.
The FQHC operates on Maui and provides Adult Medicine Primary Care with a dedicated clinical team.
