BWX Technologies , a multi-billion-dollar U.S. company. Our Design Engineering Division provides engineering, design, analysis and consulting for the energy sector. Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of design and drafting professionals, ensuring high levels of performance and career development. Project Management: Coordinate design activities for multiple engineering projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion of drawings and specifications. Supervise individuals working on multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently. Design Oversight: Review and ensure accuracy and compliance of technical drawings, plans, and designs created by the team. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to define design requirements and address design or drafting challenges. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with nuclear industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols. Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to verify that designs meet technical specifications and client requirements. Software Proficiency: Utilize industry-specific design and drafting software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar) to oversee and manage design work. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain documentation of design work, including drawing revisions and project progress. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and implement best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and team output. Proposal Development: Provide cost and duration estimates for future work. Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to the design and drafting team to keep up with latest design trends and software advancements. Qualifications and Requirements

Associate’s Degree in a related field is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in design and drafting within the nuclear, energy, or heavy industry sectors. At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role. Skills & Competencies

In-depth knowledge of nuclear engineering design principles, standards, and regulatory requirements. Expertise in 2D and 3D drafting tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation). Strong understanding of nuclear codes, safety standards (ASME, NQA-1, NRC regulations). Ability to manage individuals on multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Certifications

Certification in CAD or related drafting software is desirable. Training in nuclear industry quality assurance standards is an advantage. Benefits
