Overview The
Senior Director of Sales
will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for both the day-to-day management of the sales organization and the development of long-term growth strategies. This role requires leading a dynamic team to drive significant revenue growth by acquiring new business and expanding relationships with companies ranging from mid-sized firms to Fortune 500 enterprises. Responsibilities
Sales Leadership and Organizational Development: Directly manage and coach a high-performing sales force, while providing senior-level leadership to ensure alignment with company growth objectives.
Balance short-term revenue targets with long-term strategic goals, setting clear monthly and annual sales objectives and translating strategic priorities into actionable sales plans.
Participate with sales team members in customer meetings, providing thought leadership, actively supporting deal closure, and customer relationship building.
Oversee the hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of sales executives, ensuring the team has the skills and tools to succeed.
New Business Development: Develop and execute strategies to drive growth within target industries.
Conduct market analyses and further build a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
Ensure proactive and strategic engagement across multiple channels with potential new customers.
Support business development team members on outbound prospecting efforts through the use of various tech platforms and outbound calling.
Enterprise Account Growth: Partner with Account Management leadership to set strategic growth plans for key accounts, ensuring alignment on revenue targets and expansion opportunities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, account and project management to support initiatives that deepen client relationships and drive upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Provide sales leadership in identifying new revenue streams within existing enterprise accounts, while ensuring seamless handoff and collaboration with the Account Management team.
Operational Sales Management: Own the sales forecast and pipeline health, ensuring accuracy and timeline reporting.
Monitor daily sales activities, pipeline progress, and team performance metrics, addressing execution gaps in real time.
Partner with Sales Operations and Enablement to ensure consistent use of CRM and sales enablement tools to drive efficiency and visibility.
Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including at least 3-5 years managing a sales team while setting organizational sales strategy.
Proven success delivering sustained revenue growth in B2B environments, ideally in commercial printing, marketing services, or related industries.
Experience selling complex, high value solutions.
Strong operational management skills combined with strategic planning capabilities.
Familiarity with AI-driven sales platforms and modern sales methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
