Senior Quality Supervisor

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California. The pay range is $45.00 - $58.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. This role is focused on managing a team of Quality Inspectors who operate multiple Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs). The supervisor ensures products meet material and workmanship quality standards and that standard procedures and work instructions are followed. Responsibilities
Manage the smooth operation of CMM equipment and oversee a team of full-time inspectors. Maintain product flow through CMM inspection to fulfill program demands. Debug and resolve software/program-related issues to meet daily inspection targets. Interview, select, hire, and train inspectors; set and adjust rates of pay and work hours. Conduct regular performance appraisals to ensure team competencies align with business goals and recommend promotions or changes in status. Handle employee complaints and grievances and discipline employees as necessary. Ensure the safety and security of employees. Supervise the quality inspection team in inspecting raw materials, parts, assemblies, finished parts, and machined parts to assure quality products. Provide CMM expertise and training for operation and first-level maintenance to ensure smooth operations. Promote working relationships between inspection personnel and other departments. Maintain and track quality KPIs for analysis, control, and management reports. Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters. Conduct other responsibilities as assigned. Post-secondary degree in engineering or physics (metrology) or equivalent relevant education and work experience. CMM Operator Certification and GD&T certification required. ASQ Certified Inspector is a plus. 5-7 years of relevant experience including supervisory responsibilities. Proven ability to plan and direct technical efforts to meet quality targets. Ability to operate and read CMM programs (CAMIO and/or PCDMIS language is a plus). Work Environment
