The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is seeking an Executive Director, Global Social Media & Strategy for the Estee Lauder Brand. The candidate should have a strategic vision to move the brand to leadership and a passion for beauty. The role focuses on social media leadership and integrated content strategy across owned, earned, and paid channels. Responsibilities
Social Media Leadership: Create a center of excellence and drive leadership of the brand's key global social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat) in close partnership with the global creative and regional consumer engagement teams. Manage monthly and quarterly social reporting processes to create actionable insights; integrate social data into broader digital marketing briefs to ensure data-driven content decisions. Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, and competitors to keep the brand at the forefront of new technologies and innovations. Develop strong relationships with key platforms to drive innovation and secure first-to-market opportunities. Push the brand into new and emerging areas of social media while enhancing and elevating campaign activations. Design repeatable, marketable frameworks and solutions for delivering data-driven insights to inform content, production, and distribution; build best-in-class, platform-appropriate integrations and executions. Content Strategy Leadership
Develop the content strategy for original content that supports brand and marketing objectives across paid, organic, Skin School, site, and email, working closely with online teams. Develop editorial content for the site as a go-to destination for consumers and a driver of SEO for brand.com. Collaborate and consolidate all content requirements for channels. Partner with the social media team and the Go-To-Market team to support creation of new content formats (AR, video, VR, virtual experiences). Unify data, technology, media, and strategy to redefine how we create, optimize, and distribute content and experiences. Mentoring And Managing a Team
Directly manage a team of social media and content experts to drive excellence in both areas. Work closely with the online team for content strategies as well as social and global creative. Build strong relationships with global creative and regional consumer engagement teams for social media advancement. Qualifications
4-year bachelor's degree required. 8+ years of relevant experience managing social media for a large consumer brand, agency, or media publisher. Exceptional leadership skills to grow, build, and retain a talented team of social media professionals. Proven experience hitting key social KPIs. Excellent editorial/creative judgment, writing skills, and ability to capture the brand's voice to reach both new and legacy consumers. Confident, collaborative, and communicative with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Agency background a plus. Impeccable attention to detail. Proactive problem solver and critical, creative thinking a must. Pay Range
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $154,000 to $264,000. Exact salary depends on experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. This position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
