Role
We are seeking an experienced
EPC Project Director
to lead the execution of simple cycle and combined cycle
Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects . The EPC Project Director will oversee all phases of project delivery, from initial planning and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. This role requires strong technical expertise, financial oversight, and leadership to successfully integrate multidisciplinary activities into a unified execution plan while meeting client, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of EPC projects, ensuring integration of engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
Develop and maintain detailed project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Drive project milestones from conceptual design through commissioning and closeout.
Execution Oversight Ensure engineering deliverables across civil, mechanical, electrical, and control disciplines comply with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Oversee procurement of major equipment, materials, and subcontracted services.
Manage interfaces between engineering, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration.
Stakeholder & Client Management Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, consultants, and subcontractors.
Manage expectations and reporting requirements for owners, investors, and regulatory authorities.
Financial & Contractual Management Oversee EPC contract execution, ensuring compliance with terms and obligations.
Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and cash flow.
Administer change orders, claims, and commercial negotiations.
Risk, Quality & Safety Identify and mitigate risks related to design, supply chain, construction, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure project-specific safety programs and adherence to industry standards and corporate policies are implemented.
Ensure quality assurance across engineering, procurement, and construction phases is implemented.
Team Leadership Lead a multidisciplinary project team including engineers, procurement specialists, construction managers, and commissioning staff.
Foster collaboration, accountability, and high performance across all project functions.
Mentor junior project staff to support development and growth.
Qualifications Experience: 15+ years of EPC experience in power generation projects.
Execution of projects with budgets exceeding $500M.
Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of EPC project delivery, financial reporting, project scheduling, engineering disciplines, procurement cycles, and construction methodologies.
Familiarity with EPC contracts, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Financial and risk management expertise.
