Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Supervise, train, and motivate the stewarding team to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in all kitchen, dishwashing, and storage areas. Ensure compliance with all health, sanitation, and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of equipment, utensils, and cleaning chemicals. Coordinate and monitor daily cleaning schedules, ensuring all back-of-house areas meet operational standards before, during, and after service. Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, dishware, and small wares, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective usage. Collaborate with culinary and food & beverage leadership to support smooth service operations and special events. Conduct ongoing training on cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and proper dish-handling procedures. Assist in planning and implementing deep-cleaning projects and preventative maintenance routines. Maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented work environment that reflects the Club’s standards of excellence. Additional duties as requested by Bluejack leadership. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Prior experience in high-end golf/country club or hospitality industry is a plus Prior experience in a kitchen, dishwashing, or porter role preferred but not required Minimum of 2 years of experience in stewarding or kitchen operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred. Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, HACCP guidelines, and safety procedures within food service operations. Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse team while maintaining high morale and accountability. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with culinary, service, and management teams. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require. EDUCATION: High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience. APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS: Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates. ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION: Soliciting gratuities from members or guests is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Gratuities include items such as cash, favors, gifts, tickets to events and other forms of non-financial compensation. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities that make up the work environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. The employee may be working outside or inside and in different types of weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain and sunshine. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
