About This Role Key Responsibilities

Design & Development: Create robust, efficient, and scalable test fixtures and systems that ensure product quality and reliability.

System Architecture: Drive manufacturing test architecture, define system requirements, and develop design documentation for tools and fixtures.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers—to ensure critical product functions are fully tested during production.

Vendor Management: Manage external fixture vendors and coordinate internal software resources to deliver test systems that meet design, cost, and schedule goals.

Integration & Troubleshooting: Lead integration and troubleshooting efforts for complex, multi-component systems.

Verification & Validation: Support design verification testing and ensure compliance with medical device standards.

Risk Management: Assess and mitigate process risks related to test fixture usage (PFMEA).

Manufacturing Partnership: Collaborate closely with Manufacturing teams to understand processes, business objectives, and user needs.

(Up to 20% travel required.)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or a related engineering discipline (Master’s degree preferred).

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in test system or fixture development.

Proficient in reading and interpreting circuit board schematics and layouts.

Experience with medium to high-volume manufacturing and automated test systems.

Familiarity with OTA wireless technologies (BLE, cellular, etc.) in PCBA testing is a plus.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information to multidisciplinary teams.

Prior experience in medical device development is highly desirable.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid role – requires a minimum of 50% in-office presence at our San Francisco office.

Actual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.

Estimated Pay Range

$115,200.00 - $150,000.00
