Location of Position MDH, Charles County Health Department, White Plains, MD
Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to provide oversight for the clinical programs and staff of the Charles County Department of Health (CCDOH). This position will assist clinical staff with direct medical care as needed. This position will engage community-based clinicians and healthcare staff in public health events and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
A Doctorate degree in medicine from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
Four years of experience in the practice of medicine.
Notes:
Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master’s degree in public health from an accredited college or university for one year of the required experience.
Candidates may substitute the successful completion of internships and residencies in medicine as qualifying medical experience.
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Medical Corpsman and Physicians classifications or Nursing or Physician and Medical Services and Special Corpsman Officer specialty codes in the medicine field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
Licenses, Registrations and Certifications Applicants for this classification must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law. A copy of the current license must be attached to the application.

The evaluation may be a rating of your application based on your education, training and experience as they relate to the requirements of the position.
