This advertisement is for a Staff Psychiatrist, CF (SAFETY) position located at Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP), in Ione, CA, Amador County. Job Description and Duties: Under the general direction of the Senior Psychiatrist, the Psychiatrist in Mental Health Services is a member of an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team providing general population outpatient services to inmates. The team includes other psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric social workers assigned to a Service Area. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, participation in treatment planning and case reviews, prescribing medications, crisis intervention, and psychotherapy. The staff psychiatrist also provides consultations and training in treatment approaches to clinical and custody staff of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team. Responsibilities Perform psychiatric evaluations and participate in treatment planning and case reviews.

Prescribe medications and provide crisis intervention and psychotherapy as part of outpatient services to inmates.

Provide consultations and training in treatment approaches to clinical and custody staff within the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and collaborate with medical, nursing, psychology, and social work staff.

Benefits, Pay & Additional Information

Base pay range and additional compensation details include:

HAM (Hiring-Above-Minimum) authorization with ranges P and Q as applicable.

Recruitment and retention bonuses may be available for clinicians newly hired with CCHCS.

Pay differential of 15% of monthly base pay for direct in-person patient care on grounds or at a facility, subject to eligibility.

Recruitment and retention stipends and potential monthly differentials may apply during the first year, per eligibility.

Referral bonuses of $5,000 may be offered if hired and remain employed for 90 days, with a related pre-employment questionnaire process.
