Overview The Project Superintendent is responsible for the efficient scheduling, management, and coordination of all sub-contractors, construction trades, labor crews to work in unity in order to ensure quality and construction progress according to the project Master Schedule. The Project Superintendent will have proven construction experience as a Superintendent, a history of leading, teaching, and mentoring others successfully, and the ability to thoroughly understand and follow plans, project specifications, design documents, code requirements and other similar construction activities.

MasTec's Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Permit document administration and control

Complete review and understanding of subcontractor's scope of work

Coordinate safety meetings and overall responsibility for project safety

Control project access and traffic

Tool/equipment inventory, coordination and rental

Coordinate, schedule and maintain records of all project testing and certificates including concrete and soil testing

Coordinate with PM, PCM and PFE daily regarding project progress, S/C performance, QA/QC and reporting

Complete "3-week look ahead schedule" and update master schedule with PCM

Complete Daily Log Reports (Procore)

Maintain "As Built" drawings for final submittal

Coordinate and schedule project inspections

Final inspection and proper close-out documentation

Quality control of installed materials and Equipment

Site layout and control of benchmarks

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field

minimum 3 years' work experience as a construction Superintendent - In lieu of degree, 10+ years of work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must have project scheduling, planning, organization and document control

Superior communication and organization skills, especially when managing subcontractors and inspectors

OSHA Certification - In depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures

Experience with the following software: Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Programs and Document

Additional Considerations

10+ years of experience as a construction Superintendent

Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6)

Experience in projects greater than $20 million

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Willingness to travel through the US
