Overview
Senior Director of Operations, Community Impact — leadership role providing high-level administrative and operational direction for the Community Impact (CI) Department. Responsible for foundational systems, compliance structures, data processes, and operational practices that support Jamboree’s service delivery in alignment with mission and strategic goals. Leads the Operations Team (data, compliance, and administrative functions) to ensure day-to-day operations enable high-quality, person-centered support to residents and to advance program quality, contractual compliance, and streamlined workflows across the department. Responsibilities
Supervise and lead the Operations Team, including managers, compliance/data specialists, and administrative support staff. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to strengthen team capacity, accountability, and effectiveness. Oversee day-to-day operational functions to ensure smooth execution of administrative and programmatic tasks. Foster collaboration across departments and teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment between administrative operations and direct service delivery. Oversee the administrative infrastructure supporting the CI department’s programming, reporting, and compliance functions. Design and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the CI department to promote efficiency and consistency. Lead development and refinement of workflows, documentation practices, and workload processes to improve consistency across sites and teams. Streamline cross-departmental practices and reduce operational barriers. Ensure that administrative practices support the smooth flow of information, timely reporting, and accountability to stakeholders. Lead implementation efforts to ensure department-wide adoption of new processes, systems, and policies. Coordinate with the Vice President of Community Impact to identify and remove systemic barriers affecting operational flow. Oversee operational implementation of CI programs across Jamboree’s portfolio. Monitor program fidelity to ensure that service models (e.g., Housing First, Trauma-Informed Care, Harm Reduction) are consistently implemented. In collaboration with the CI leadership team, oversee compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and funder requirements (including CalOptima, VA, HHCA, and County of Orange). Maintain systems for documentation, audit readiness, and quality assurance reviews. Develop and update operational policies and procedures to support compliance and risk management. Provide ongoing training and support to staff regarding compliance expectations, documentation standards, and corrective action processes. Supervise data systems and teams responsible for EHR management, data entry, and reporting. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in performance reporting, compliance submissions, and evaluation metrics. Develop dashboards, performance reports, and analytical summaries to inform decision-making. Align evaluation activities with strategic and funding priorities, including CalAIM sustainability efforts. Identify department-wide training needs and coordinate implementation and tracking for compliance, data management, and operational systems. Support supervisors and managers in developing team training and onboarding plans. Collaborate with the leadership team to standardize training materials, workflows, and documentation tools. Represent CI operations in cross-agency meetings, stakeholder collaborations, and funder discussions. Provide operational updates, summaries, and reports to senior leadership and external partners. Qualifications
Master’s degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Public Health, or related field preferred or equivalent. Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in program administration, operations management, or compliance leadership within housing, behavioral health, or social services sectors. Demonstrated experience supervising multidisciplinary administrative teams. Strong knowledge of CalAIM, supportive housing models, and nonprofit operational systems. Skilled in data management, reporting, and systems development. Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on administrative execution. Commitment to Jamboree’s mission and the advancement of housing stability and resident well-being. Valid California driver’s license and availability of an insured vehicle; must be able to travel between sites 50% of the time. Job may require evening and weekend hours and travel throughout California. Physical Demands & Work Environment
