Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled global category manager to join our Site Services Procurement team as an Associate Director to lead the acquisition of manufacturing equipment maintenance, operations, and repairs services (MRO Services) globally. The role will drive cost efficiencies, mitigate risks, and foster innovation through strategic sourcing and supplier management, working closely with the Manufacturing Division and Global Workplace & Enterprise Services (GWES) organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute category strategies for MRO Services at global, regional, and local levels, primarily in the US and Ireland.
Lead cross‑functional teams through the Sourcing Management Process, driving competitive sourcing events (RFQs, RFIs, RFPs) and supporting vendor selection, commercial negotiation, and contracting.
Implement Supplier Relationship Management to maximize performance, ensure contract compliance, and optimize supplier capabilities.
Drive cost savings and value generation, supplier diversity, and scope 3 emissions reduction through strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and relationship management.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing.
Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, including MRO services and category leadership across multiple sites.
Proven track record of developing category strategies that deliver cost savings and operational improvements.
Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and governance across multiple stakeholders.
Project Management skills and experience leading sourcing initiatives from initiation to implementation.
Effective communication skills to collaborate across global teams.
Ability to build strong relationships and network throughout the organization.
Capability to lead transformational initiatives and influence cross‑functional teams.
Autonomous, self‑directed and proactive problem‑solving abilities.
Comfortable working within international, remote teams.
Proficient in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
MBA or advanced degree.
Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $126,500.00 - $199,100.00. Additional compensation may include annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement (401(k)), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. Work Arrangement Hybrid: Employees in office‑based positions in the U.S. will work a hybrid schedule consisting of three total days on‑site per week (Monday‑Thursday, with Friday remote, unless exceptions apply). The model does not apply to field‑based, facility‑based, or research‑based positions, or roles designated as remote.
