LOCATION The DoubleTree Fort Lauderdale Galleria is located on the intracoastal waterway, less than a five‑minute walk from Galleria Fort Lauderdale, and close to conventions and cruise terminals at Port Everglades.
SHIFT PATTERN Candidate will work rotating shifts throughout the week, with weekends and holidays required.
PAY RATE $18.00 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES As a Guest Services Agent, you will greet and register guests, facilitate check‑ins and check‑outs, and deliver outstanding service while supporting hotel profitability. Specific duties include:
Greet guests and complete the registration process, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest data and room rates, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, and ensuring guests know their room location.
Assist with guest check‑out, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted for, using the point‑of‑sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various payment forms, converting foreign currency, and processing gift certificates.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information, including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area attractions, answering guest questions and inquiries.
Use up‑selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and maximize room occupancy.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests, resolving issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
Field guest complaints, conduct research, and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
Receive, input, retrieve, and relay messages to guests.
QUALIFICATIONS Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience as a Guest Service Agent, Sales, or Customer Service role, be fluent in English, and possess strong communication skills.
