Team:
The Product and Operations team oversees a diverse portfolio of index products—including iconic benchmarks like the S&P 500—setting strategic priorities that drive growth, innovation, and client value across S&P Dow Jones Indices. Within this organization, the Product Platforms Design team plays a central role in shaping user-centered, scalable product platform experiences that power the full index lifecycle. We are a collaborative, forward-looking team that blends product, design, and technology expertise to deliver intuitive, integrated solutions with measurable business impact.
The role specifically leads the Commercial Value Stream, which underpins Lead-to-Cash processes and data distribution enablement. The team partners closely with Commercial, Finance, Product, Technology, and Index Operations to optimize workflows, accelerate product delivery, and enhance transparency across the full index commercialization process and customer engagement journey.
Responsibilities and Impact The Product Platforms Design Value Stream Lead for Commercial is responsible for the delivery of technology-enabled product capabilities that enhance user experience, operational efficiency, and scalability across SPDJI’s commercial systems and data distribution platforms. This role is accountable for aligning design and delivery priorities across complex product ecosystems and ensuring that execution reflects the evolving needs of client-facing, operational, and financial stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Roadmap Ownership:
Develop and communicate a technology-related product roadmap for commercial and data distribution platforms grounded in user journeys, operational efficiency, and scalability across the full Lead-to-Cash flow.
Execution Leadership:
Manage program backlog and MVPs, ensuring alignment with Agile team planning and Definition of Ready/Done.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Align teams on priorities, manage dependencies, and maintain focus on outcomes across regions, asset classes, and systems, while partnering closely with other Value Stream Leads to ensure alignment and coordinated delivery.
Team Development:
Build and grow a high-performing team that thrives on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management:
Engage strategically with partners and senior stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, Product, Index Operations, and Technology to drive alignment, transparency, and timely decision-making.
Delivery Excellence:
Monitor progress, validate features, lead demos, and proactively communicate risks, insights, and business value.
This role has measurable impact on value creation, time-to-market reduction, and adoption of equity index products—ensuring S&P DJI maintains its leadership position across global equity markets.
What We’re Looking For Basic Required Qualifications
Proven experience leading product or program delivery within Agile and scaled Agile (SAFe) environments, including backlog management, and continuous delivery cycles.
Strong product mindset focused on user value, business outcomes, and operational efficiency.
Demonstrated experience in commercial systems, CRM, billing, or data distribution platforms, preferably within financial services, SaaS, or data licensing environments.
Ability to synthesize complex information and create clarity through structured communication.
Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, prioritization, and value stream alignment.
Skilled in stakeholder management, planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
Demonstrated leadership in building, coaching, and enabling high-performing teams.
Experience applying design thinking and data-driven decision-making to optimize product delivery and adoption.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience Lead-to-Cash ecosystems, CRM (e.g., Salesforce), contract lifecycle management, or billing systems.
Understanding of data licensing workflows, commercial analytics, and distribution infrastructure.
Track record of driving organizational change and embedding Agile practices at scale.
Global perspective with experience leading teams across multiple regions.

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
