Job Summary The Senior Project Manager – Facilities Planning is responsible for managing the programming, planning, design, and execution of large/complex projects as assigned under the Facilities Services Project Management Office. This includes construction, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades. The role involves planning projects from conception to completion, managing budgets and timelines, collaborating with stakeholders like architects and contractors, and ensuring projects align with strategic goals, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions

Lead and execute complex projects, guiding large project teams and adapting plans to meet short‑term service, business, and operational objectives while ensuring on‑budget, on‑schedule completion.

Develop and present business cases to obtain project sponsorship, budget, and resource allocation.

Define project scope, delegate tasks, develop project plans, manage contractors/vendors, and coordinate communications as needed.

Coordinate project impacts, develop deliverables, and produce financial and project‑management reports (status dashboards, risk issues, etc.).

Manage the review and approval process for project approvals from conception through implementation, involving stakeholders such as Space Planning, Facilities, IS, UIT, IPC, EH&S, Supply Chain, clinical staff, ARC, PD&C, and jurisdictional authorities.

Build consensus across teams, provide leadership, coordination, and support to the project team, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Provide direction to project staff, act as an advisor and subject‑matter expert, and support other complex projects requiring jurisdictional approvals.

Approve and execute improvements to operating policies and procedures, guidelines, and standards for teams.

Implement quality control measures, ensuring compliance with department/hospital policies and government codes and regulations.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited university.

Seven (7) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

None required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Fundamentals of project management, including risk management, budget planning, and resource management.

Ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse groups at senior levels.

Ability to develop budget reports, make financial projections, and prioritize work by informed judgment.

Ability to provide concise communication between project teams, stakeholders, and end users.

Ability to delegate tasks and handle sensitive situations consultatively.

Knowledge of CAD, CAFM, estimating, cost control, scheduling, construction administration, quality control, specification writing, and space planning.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements related to the functional area.

Knowledge of healthcare delivery, architecture, and construction functions and building design processes.

Additional Information Pay Range Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and internal equity. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $67.80 to $89.91
