Physician & Locum Recruiter
to focus on
contract and locum tenens placements
within our healthcare insurance and case management divisions.
Position Overview The
Physician & Locum Recruiter
will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing physicians and locum professionals in short-term and long-term contract roles. This individual will work closely with internal account managers and client partners to ensure timely fulfillment of staffing needs, maintain a pipeline of qualified clinicians, and deliver an excellent candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities Source, identify, and recruit physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical professionals for contract and locum opportunities in healthcare insurance and case management. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle — from initial outreach to onboarding and placement. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through proactive networking, referrals, job boards, and social media platforms. Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals to understand their career goals, availability, and contract preferences. Partner with account managers to understand client needs, contract details, and assignment requirements. Negotiate contract terms, compensation, and assignment logistics with candidates. Ensure compliance with credentialing, licensing, and background check processes. Maintain accurate candidate and job data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Track and report recruiting metrics to ensure performance goals and client SLAs are met.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: 2–5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in
locum tenens ,
physician staffing , or
healthcare contract recruiting . Experience working with healthcare insurance, case management, or utilization review roles is a strong plus. Strong understanding of healthcare credentialing, licensure, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. Proficient with ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools.
