Save Job

As a part of Rubrik’s Job Frameworks team you will design, implement, and test critical high quality, scalable distributed software systems. The Job Frameworks team is part of Rubrik’s Product Infrastructure, and owns the scheduling frameworks on CDM and Polaris, Rubrik’s two core products. The frameworks you will develop and maintain are used by all of Rubrik’s engineering teams, are deployed to all Rubrik customers, and are thus critical to the company’s success. As part of the team you will be expected to work on a wide variety of tasks, including new features, enhancements to existing systems, debugging, and detailed design and code reviews.

Some challenges include:

Scalability: As a high‑growth company, we have seen a huge growth year over year. This is accompanied by the number of Rubrik engineers who we support. As a result, our team is constantly re‑imagining and engineering our platform infrastructure to support this growth.

Stability: Stability around the clock is our top‑most concern. We think about reliability at every layer of the stack, from individual infrastructure systems to the reliability of services owned by product teams at Rubrik.

What You’ll Do:

Build our platforms, systems and infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems and large scale storage systems.

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software.

Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise.

Mentor and train other team members on design techniques, and coding standards.

Identify and solve for bottlenecks within our software stack.

Experience You’ll Need:

BS/BA degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.

2+ years of experience in software development.

Experience in one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to Scala, Go/Golang, Java, C/C++, Python.

Knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, Go, and microservice architectures is a plus.
