Position Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced

Registered Nurse – Nurse Educator

to join our team. The Nurse Educator will support clinical staff development through education, mentorship, and ongoing professional training. This role requires strong clinical expertise, especially in

Labor & Delivery

and

Medical/Surgical

nursing.

Responsibilities: Provide education, training, and competency assessments for nursing staff. Develop and implement orientation and continuing education programs. Evaluate clinical competencies and promote evidence-based practice. Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing personnel to enhance clinical performance. Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify learning needs and improve care delivery. Maintain accurate educational records and ensure compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience: Minimum

two (2) years of Med/Surg experience . Two (2) years of Labor & Delivery experience

required. Strong clinical and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication, teaching, and leadership abilities.

Education: Required:

Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program. Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).

Licenses & Certifications: Required: Active

New York State RN License . Primary Source Verification

of license and registration from the NYS Department of Education (NYSED). AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)

certification. Preferred: Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS, NRP) are a plus.
