You act as the store leader in the absence of the Store Manager. You are a people leader, developing your ability to motivate a team to achieve sales targets and growth goals. Through personal demonstration, training, and development, you support an in-store culture where customers say, “I’ll take it” and are loyal to your store, our brands, and our company. You stay enthusiastic about the product and presentation of your store, keep up to date on trends, and educate the store team to do the same. You love shoes and help every customer experience a little of that Famous Feeling. Responsibilities

Inspire the Customer Connection: foster a culture of caring and camaraderie focused on customer relationships, operational excellence, and flawless delivery; infuse coaching moments for selling behaviors behind Customer Connection. Champion Talent Discovery: seek out and network with exceptional external talent; collaborate with the Store Manager to interview and hire individuals committed to top-notch customer experiences. Ace Retail Operations & Support Staffing Levels: manage retail operational fundamentals (pricing, shipping processing, inventory) and support staffing levels set by the Store Manager considering availability, peak days, and seasonal needs. Leverage Insights to Deliver Results: drive sales and collaborate with the Store Manager to apply insights to improve results. Be a Culture Builder: support diversity and inclusivity, encourage a positive mindset, and lead by example to improve retention and performance. Be our Store Manager’s Right Hand: when the Store Manager is away, step into leadership, ensure compliance with programs through training and follow-up, and develop internal talent in partnership with the Store Manager. Has a High School Diploma/GED. Has at least 1 year of sales experience (retail preferred). Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people. Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with store associates at all levels. Ability to train and coach associates to provide engaging customer experiences and execute tasks. Exercises independent judgment when partnering with Store Sales Manager. Strong cognitive skills: problem solving, decision making, and financial/quantitative analysis. Advanced working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures. Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours. Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements

Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs from floor to above shoulder height with proper equipment. Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting. Mobility on the sales floor for extended periods.
