What You’ll Be Doing

Inspire the Customer Connection:

Inspire associates with integrity and drive, fostering a culture of caring and camaraderie focused on customer relationships, operational excellence, and flawless delivery of both. Infuse coaching moments for the selling behaviors behind our Customer Connection.

Champion Talent Discovery:

Seek out and network with exceptional external talent. Collaborate with the Store Manager to interview and hire individuals passionate about creating top-notch customer experiences driven by attentiveness to service and selling.

Ace Retail Operations & Support Staffing Levels:

Manage retail operational fundamentals (pricing, shipping processing, inventory) and keep daily operations dialed in. Support staffing levels set by the Store Manager considering availability, peak days, and seasonal needs.

Leverage Insights to Deliver Results:

Take accountability for location performance. Drive sales and apply insights to continually improve results in partnership with the Store Manager.

Be a Culture Builder:

Support a diverse and inclusive team culture. Maintain a positive mindset, lead by example, and help increase retention and performance.

Be our Store Manager’s Right Hand:

When the Store Manager is away, step into leadership, ensure compliance with programs, train and develop the team, and assess strengths and opportunities to develop internal talent in partnership with the Store Manager.

Qualifications

Has a High School Diploma/GED.

Has at least 1 year of sales experience (retail preferred).

Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people.

Ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store associates at all levels.

Ability to train, coach, and develop associates to provide an engaging customer experience and execute operational tasks.

Independent judgment in partnership with Store Sales Manager as needed.

Strong cognitive skills including problem solving, decision making, and financial/quantitative analysis.

Advanced working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.

Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements and Environment

Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. with appropriate safety techniques.

Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, push, pull, and perform repetitive lifting.

Mobility on the sales floor for extended periods.

1+ years of sales experience commonly required, preferably retail.

Demonstrates an advanced understanding of general retail practices and procedures.

Experience leading, motivating, and communicating with a team to achieve goals.

Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training teams.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
